We all know how meditation can help us become more focused and relaxed. It is something that can be done anywhere and any time. It costs you nothing but the rewards are wonderful. There are a number of ways to meditate and lets look at a few techniques that anyone can learn easily, techniques that the newbie will find more useful than anyone else. But before that you need to learn the basic rules of meditation which are,
- Don't force yourself into it. Just relax and try to enjoy the silence.
- Don't expect things to happen quickly. Meditation takes time to practice and you must strive to reach a deeper level of peace.
- Stick with it. Each time you meditate you connect with your inner self and the more you do it, the better you become.
Now lets look at some easy meditation techniques for the newbie.
- Find a peaceful place to meditate. Find some good music albums that could help you relax. I prefer listening to new age lounge.
- Find a chair that would allow you to sit straight and is also comfortable.
- Simply close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly. Concentrate on your breath. With each breath you sink further into relaxation and peace.
- Your mind is not used to meditation. So it will give you random thoughts about a lot of things while trying to meditate. So enjoy the pleasure of the silence and peace. Just listen to your breath.
- Repeat.
Its hard to find good results in the beginning but if you are willing to keep at it, you might find your way to profound peace and clarity.
